Last night we watched the latest Sherlock Holmes series, titled "ELEMENTARY'. GREAT show!!! One thing REALLY struck me. An "ex-drug-dealer" who had known Sherlock when he WAS doing drugs, found out that his daughter was being held for ransom. He immediately went to ask Sherlock for help ... & he took the case. As Watson saw how cool the guy was behaving, he was asked "You seem kool for a guy who just found out his daughter was going to be killed IF you don't give them the $2 &1/2 million by tomorrow ... may I ask ... WHY IS THAT?!?!?!"
The guy looked straight into Watson's eyes & immediately replied
"Because I have FAITH in Sherlock Holmes!!!"
!!!!! WOW !!!!!
What a wonderful place to learn about the results of GENUINE FAITH ;)
Let US examine our hearts. Are WE walking in TRUE FAITH???
The LORD's goal is ALWAYS ... through EVERY trial .. to have us learn to trust NOT in ourselves, but in HIM, Who raises the dead. (2 Corinthians 1:8-9) And the ONLY way we discover our hearts honest take on things is when the LORD sends the fire to "test each man's work" (1 Cor 3:12-14)
